“Review of Bulgarian Design Now”
Exhibition Official Opening: 8 November 18:30
Exhibition dates: 9-30 November
“Review of Bulgarian Design Now” is an exhibition, which is part of the MELBA design initiatives – a platform embracing various aspects of the discipline through an online archive, live meetings and the first edition of Sofia Design Festival. The exhibition explores the original work and concepts of Bulgarian designers today. It gathers representatives in 6 categories – product design and ceramics, fashion and textiles, graphic design, illustration, jewelery and social design.
The selection includes 30 products and initiatives of forward thinking creatives and shows their skills, imagination, craftsmanship and innovative approaches to contribute to the better quality and sustainability of our environment. “Review of Bulgarian Design Now” is an attempt to present the state and the potential of the discipline in Bulgaria for the last year and includes only realized projects. The motive and the rationale of the selection are subjective and made by us, the initiators and curators of MELBA.
